Animal Habits

Elicit habits for an animal. Use a picture.

Eg. Rabbit

It lives in a hole

It eats carrots

It has lots of babies

It runs very fast

It has big ears

SS in pairs choose an animal and write similar sentences in present simple. SS read sentences to class . SS guess the animal.

Variation :- SS research animal habits and give a short talk.

Routines

What do we do once a week, once a month, once a year?

Eg) I go to the dentist once a year.

I write to my best friend once a month.

I do my homework once a week.

I clean my teeth twice a day.

I get paid once a month. (If I’m lucky!)

SS write down as many full sentences as they can in five minutes, using….

….every day

….once a week

….twice a week

….once a month, year...etc.

SS tell each other their routines in pairs, and cross out the ones they have in common.

One S tells the class about his/her partner’s routines (3rd person and SS ask).

food…like ; magazines…read ; computer…have
