Women, mmm that’s a good one. What’s the saying? You can’t live with them and you can’t live without them. Of course the most important woman in a man’s life is usually his mother. I’m still really close to mine and I’m her only son, so there’s a special bond.

I’ve had quite a few girlfriends in my life, both before and after my marriage. One of the best girlfriends I ever had was Spanish, I learnt so much from her. A different culture and way of looking at things, we’re still good friends, something that doesn’t happen much with ex-partners in Britain.

I feel I’m lucky in that I’ve had a lot of female friends and I still do. I don’t know why but ..er.. I often find myself to be the only man in a group of women, it happens all the time, I wonder if it’s anything to do with me having 4 sisters?
